Garie's Clay Creations : Unique comical and whimsical miniature polymer clay creations by Garie Sim. The World's Smallest Teddy Bear, smallest snow globe, smallest magnetic figures and Film Spool Art chess sets.

Garie was a real sweetheart and answered me back quite quickly when I emailed him about how he created his darling little monkeys with polymer clay and pipe cleaners. He has done what no other polymer clay artists have done before him, from what I have seen. He is amazingly creative and his site is worth book marking and visiting over and over again. You never know what you will learn from Garie. Things I thought I could never accomplish with polymer clay he shows you can accomplish.

Garie Sim and his students have accomplished many things with the use of polymer clay and other materials.

He has been able test the use of polymer clay with many different types of materials including but not limited to pipe cleaners, poly fiberfill, magnets and more. Garie Sim is not just a polymer clay artist but a self taught scientist who now with his findings has taught many students from his home town in Singapore but around the globe as he posts what he finds on his much shared website.

Today I just found out that he has been able to create a way to cure polymer clay in a pot with a tight fitting lid, making it possible to bake polymer clay creations without ruining home ovens used to cook the day to day family meals in. For those unaware of the plasticizers contained in polymer clay it is recommended that that it should not come in contact with anything that food would come in contact with as well as the fumes from baking it to cure anything created with it burning off in an oven has always been a warning not to do.
