Polymer Clay Autumn Fairy above created by me from a free Seminar I took that was offered freely by Aidamaris Roman. Aidamaris is a very talented artist and an awesome person to talk with if ever you have the pleasure.

The blanket was crochet by my mother and friend Phyllis Stiner, I added the flower embellishment which can be removed. Her wings have been created with my own special blend of window type paints. The tiny fairy 101 book was also created with polymer clay. The pages are assorted pastel colored paper cut from post-it notes and the bookmark created with silk ribbon sandwiched between handmade polymer clay stars

New did you know facts can now be found through out the website. Surf around a bit and see what cool things you can learn

Did you know?

ATC is an acronym for Artist Trading Cards which are individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand. Their current popularity among artists and hobbyists was sparked by M. Vänçi Stirnemann, who began trading sessions in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1997, and popularized ATCs via the internet.

There are strict rules for an ATC, size must be (2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same as commercial trading cards, such as baseball cards and cards for trading card games), and that under certain conventions usually observed by those who make and trade these cards that they be traded, not sold, and that they be created as unique works or small limited editions of prints typically made on a base of card stock. However they may also be made on metal, stiffened fabric, plastic, clay, balsa wood, leather, embroidery canvas, acetate, heavy watercolor paper, and many other materials and in many different media types, such as textile arts, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, scratch board, mixed media, assemblage, digital art, calligraphy, beadwork, rubber stamps, carved soft block stamps, pen and ink, colored pencil, airbrush, just to name a few that an artist an use to create them.

Did you know?

Recently introduced into the world of ATC's are now ACEO's (ACCEO) Art card, editions and originals

A sore point amongst ATC enthusiasts, these new form of miniature art came about when some artists began to create cards to sell, in addition to trading among themselves.

The practice of creating ACEO's is meant to explore the temporal miniature in art, to help enhance the income, increase visibility, circulate small works more widely, as well as increase an artists visibility by its collectors and fans rather than just by their idolizing and adoring artistic comrades amongst themselves still using the same size rules of 2.5 X 3.5 inches.

September 18th, 2007 More site updates. Check out the new Tiny TV. All my favorite YouTube™ videos in one neat place. Right here for your to see. Everything from creating foods with polymer clay and sculpting dolls, to miniatures, creating miniatures and even a few mini shows. The new link is now conveniently located at the top of every page of this website.

NEW TUTORIAL POSTED Cre8ted by none other than me, myself and I. Just a taste of a first of hopefully many more e-books to come where I will show you step by step how to create something in miniature. In this sample tutorial I show you how to make a miniature purse for your dolls and or dollhouse scene. Its just one of the many versions I go over in full detail with images in the e-book. The book should be finished very soon and will be made available as a special online only version in either PDF or MS WORD Document format, that can be emailed to the purchaser upon cleared payment.

Working on a new blog where myself and my very good online miniature collector and creator friend "Pearl"  will be sharing information, tips on making miniatures, discussions about all types of clay that can be used to create miniatures with, turning ordinary household trash into miniature dollhouse treasures and lots, lots more. The blog exists yet I am working on the page headers, backgrounds and other things in which we want to start it off with. Look for more information and or announcements from me here for that.

Working on another website being created for another online miniature collector and creator friend who is a wonderful miniaturist artesian of miniature masquerade masks, perfume bottles, shabby-sheek furnishings and more. Look for the Grand Opening announcement for that soon as well.

September 10th, 2007 Site page updates. Several new links and so much more information has been added to Clay Minis 101, OOAK Dolls 101, and Paper Minis 101.  Look around and see what else you will find that is new here.

July 17th, 2007 - Finally an Update!!!

I have been doing as usual...working on the house, working on a tutorial for the website here as well to be able to share it with all my friends who love to create their own miniatures and trying to get caught up on all my unfinished projects.

Recently joined a new group for Polymer Clay artists  on Yahoo called City-o-clay and I had been asked to post better images for some of my Halloween scenes I have created in miniature so here I am with this update. Please bear with me while I work to bring a whole new look and feel to my website and hopefully more more recent and continuous updates.

March 11th, 2007 - Been Busy as a Bee

Just a short update on what has been happening with the site here. I have added a new area for OOAK dolls 101 for everything you could possibly need or want to know. Of course more will always be added when learned by me.

Adding a blog - Adding Classifieds (Free for everyone) More will be announced when available for your use.

March 10th, I missed out on a mini show I wished to attend. Oh well that just goes to show how busy I have been with the house renovations. Never enough time to get everything done. Life is just one huge on going project.

February 20th. 2007 - TWO WEEKENDS WORTH OF MINIATURE SHOW & SALES TO TALK ABOUT

I have been to my 1st Two (2) miniature show now in the past Two (2) weekends. I was amazed at the first show the weekend before this past one in Fort Lauderdale but was more impressed with the 2nd show this past weekend. Molly Cromwell presented the 2nd show and it was amazing to have met her and put a face to the name. I also had the pleasure of meeting face to face with a member of Small Stuff Tom Walden AKA MiniTom who handcrafts the most wonderfully unique 1/12 scale console radios that play real music through them and unique portable desks. It was nice to walk about the show both days and hear many people speak of his work and how amazed they were with the uniqueness of his creations and the mastery of his craft with wood. Sadly I could not afford one of these wonderful pieces he creates but I could ooh and awe over them. The 1920's really is not a period I am yet in need of any furnishings from. If you are in need you should see them. I have a brochure from him and with his permission I wish to feature him and his work from the site here.

Many other artists were met and deserve a mention and a feature. I will be busy working on those so look for new featured artists coming soon.

Look for my feature of a unique Creations in Cold Porcelain artist Yvonne Santiago. She sells the paste and helps teach others how to use this wonderful crafting media which replaced polymer clay for her and many others. This is an air dry clay which requires no baking to cure. It can be molded, heated and repositioned and more. I saw her realistic plants and flowers in miniature and could not believe the details.

January 30, 2007  DAWN MCLEOD & GOOGLE ADS

Well its been several days since I have updated the latest page here, although I have been busy updating the website. I have added a new feature of a wonderful new OOAK Polymer Clay Baby artists and friend "Dawn McLeod". There is one baby she just recently created that is features on her page here on Tiny Crafts. When I got word she was being listed on ebay I just had to bid for her.  it was a bit of a bidding war but I WON!!! I am so excited I won this adorable 2" 1/12 scale baby. $96 and I can't wait to receiver her as she is now in transit to me here in the USA from Canada. I hope they don't detain her in customs LOL. I am planning on welcoming her into her new home with a brand new 1/12 scale Nursery dollhouse/room box just for her.  I have one of those unfinished wood CD houses that would make a nice 2 story house with an upstairs and downstairs nursery. One for "Melanie Dawn" my new arrival and one for Dianna my Christmas gift Exchange baby from the talented Melissa Craig AKA mini-nations. Only if I find she will not look right in this same scale setting I will create a room-box nursery instead.

Signed up for Google's new AdSence program and I have begun to add text and image links as we as a very neat site and internet search from Google. Maybe this can help the users with useful tools and information as well as help me afford to run this site as well as build it to what I have been dreaming of for decades.

January 14, 2007 ADDED A NEW PAGE TO THE SITE

I Added a new page to accommodate the OOAK Doll making and or collecting friends. Just like the page created called Clay Minis 101 which I will always be forever working on to keep up to date and full of as much information I can learn and find to help others who are interested in this wonderful craft/hobby. I now give you OOAK Dolls 101. This page as well will always be under construction. As I purchase and find great people to buy from I will be listing links to them from there as well. Enjoy!
